Windfall Woodworks is located on 9 acres of woods in northwest Ohio. Ray Ramsdell’s bowls, boxes and vases are hand turned on a wood lathe using a variety of native woods including walnut, white and black ash, maple,  and beech.  No healthy tree is every cut down to provide lumber.  Bowls are turned from green down trees and found firewood.  Large boxes are made from old barn siding.  When creating a turning, Ray has the philosophy that the shape of the piece will emerge from the wood.   Most pieces are suitable for use in your home as fruit bowls, vases, candle holders, center pieces, trinket boxes, and more.
